Bird Strike at Taree

I am en route from Sydney to Grafton. I am flying with Rex Regional Airlines. The flight goes to Grafton via Taree.

Coming in to land at Taree the plane struck a flock of galahs.

The plane sustained some damage, the birds fared much worse My onward flight to Grafton has been delayed by three hours.

I have been very impressed how Rex have dealt with this delay and even more impressed by my fellow passengers who have accepted the voluntary risk of travelling on a regional airline. We are waiting in the airport at Taree.
