Olympic Favourites 2012

On the eve of the London Olympics my son, Sam, and I have been looking at William Hill‘s betting odds for the London Games.

This follows on from my post in The Conversation.

Sam has created an excellent searchable resource for national prospects in 300 Olympic events.

The top fifteen nations from the betting markets are:

It is interesting to note that from William Hill’s markets Great Britain will be third on the gold medal table and a clear fourth in the overall medal table.
